About Us

Ferndown Diversions is a 200 acre woodland on the Worcestershire Warwickshire border nestling between the villages of Church Lench, Abbots Lench and Rous Lench, in what has to be one of the most beautiful parts of the UK.

A section of around 100 acres was purchsed in the early 1990's by Martin Fernihough a local businessman, during the following years the rest of the land has been purchased and now is Ferndown Diversions as we know it.

The woodland has gone from strength to strength over the past twenty years. We have undertaken a programme of thinning and re planting the woodland, whilst promoting the introduction of new wildlife into the area. We have also put down over ten miles of "rides" into the woodland, which makes for easy access to all areas of the land.

Used as a working asset, we have a pheasant shoot which takes place between October and February. We also have our small herd of Belted Galloway cattle, who live alongside our very own muster of peacocks.

When the wood was bought it was a thick forest, with very little structure or new life. We have developed it over the past decade into a hive of natural beauty. Our aim going into the future is to develop the biomass and sawn timber business and promote naturally sustainable development.
